Invitation to participate in the Future Sustainability Leaders program 2026

Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S)-Masdar's global initiative developing the sustainability leaders of tomorrow-
invites all universities to participate in the eighth edition of the Future Sustainability Leaders(FSL)program,
a key pillar of Masdar's Y4S platform.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,Y4S invests in
and actively supports the development of our most valuable asset,our young people,with the objective of
enabling them to become the sustainability leaders of tomorrow.

The year-long FSL program is designed to educate and empower university students and young
professionals to become the next generation of sustainability leaders capable of carrying forward the global
sustainability agenda.

Offering participants hands-on experiential learning,self-paced studies of comprehensive content,and
unique networking opportunites,FSL equips young people with key the skills to succeed in the green jobs
of the future in an ever more digitially advanced and complex world.

FSL participants will have the opportunity to participate in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW)2026,
the region's largest sustainabilty gathering.At ADSW,participants can interact with the Y4S Sustainability
Hub,a dedicated space to educate,empower and inspire youth,which attracts around 3,000 students over
the course of the week,and hosts high-level national and international delegates.

The Y4S Forum,which takes place at the Hub,is a three-day youth-led program aimed at exploring ways
for young people to play an active role in the implementation of the UAE national agenda and the United
Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Since the launch of Y4S in 2016,more than 900 members have graduated from its programs.

FSL participants must commit to the year-long program and comply with the following:

• Be a UAE national or international student aged between 19 and 35
• Hold an undergraduate degree,or be pursuing one,at an accredited institution (open to all majors)
• Have excellent spoken English
• Submit a statement demonstrating interest in sustainability-related fields
• Complete the online application form before Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Future Sustainability Leaders roles and responsibilities:

• Attend all Series webinars and events throughout the year,such as Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, etc.
• Participate in the Y4S Innovation Lab through the Ecothon Innovation Challenge
• Help promote the FSL program through your social network,when applicable
• Work Collaboratively and under pressure
• Have a positive attitude and be a'people person'
